As technology has progressed, the concept of transferring the human consciousness from the human body to a maintainable mechanical one has begun to seem realistic for the near future. The morality of such a process had, of course, been disputed. One of the main arguments I have encountered is that leaving the human body for an improved form interferes with \”God\’s plan\” and that humans were created perfect. It seems to me that this is not correct. For the first, a lesser being cannot interfere with the plans of an omnipotent being, so there is no harm in attempting to do so. As for the issue of humans being perfect, it seems to me that the prefect creation would be one which begins in a flawed form and improves itself until it becomes as perfect, or nearly as perfect, as its creator. As the creator/God in question here, what is your take on all this?

Question:

I am attempting to construct a 3 stage linear electromagnetic accelerator. As you are no doubt aware, the third stage was damaged during removal from the forming structure. I see two options at this point: I can create a third coil and insert it into the space left by the third coil, or I can simply complete this one with the two remaining coils and use the materials that would have gone into my the operation of my third coil for my next accelerator. After spending several months on the fabrication of this accelerator, it is a difficult choice and so in gathering data to make this choice, I thought I would try factoring the opinion of an omnipotent being. My question, then, is this: which of the two paths I listed would you choose?

In question #101 you stated that the problem could not be solved becuase the chrge on the electron was not given. Did you not realize that \’e\’ was not given becuase the charge of an electron is a constant?
