Why can’t I go anywhere but Idaho?

I cannot see any reason why you feel you are stuck with Idaho. Now I know some people have to be. After all, we need our potatoes. But unless your foot is somehow nailed to the ground, just start walking, hitching, riding, biking, running, or flying till you get out of there.
