Answer: Anyone with the name ‘David’ is essentially good and therefore should be trustworthy. But, since you know your David better than I do, and you feel the need to ask this question, I wonder what you suspect about him.

Or, could it be that you are the suspicious one, the untrustworthy one? It does take a giant leap of faith to trust someone, and yet here you are, trusting me to give you an answer. Hmmm. . .

In the end, it comes down to you. Do you trust yourself, and your own good judgment enough to answer this question for yourself?
