I only played MG:S2, and that gives barely any information on the whole story of Metal Gear. I ended up going to Woolies house and watching him play all of Metal Gear Solid in front me for about six hours. Then I went online and read kids papers that they wrote on the game, and then eventually I knew the core of Metal Gear and was sure I could make a movie that even Hideo Kogima could be proud of. Naturally, however, during that process I went through several upon several drafts of the script. There was points where Shadow's name was Talon and Lynx's name was Fireball. Also when there was suppose to have an army of Metal Gears rampaging Montreal, CA. or, my favourite, when I would do my Snake voice and call Shadow or had a cameo of Snake at the end of the movie. But all those drafts were only spoken words. Very few of the drafts and script was actually typed. But what was left is here. It is cut up in two parts, the scenes that were actually in the movie and the scenes that never made it. Also, naturally, the ones that made it are not word for word because when your working with teenagers last minute que-cards, voice overs and telling them there lines before pressing record is key. - E.S **** SCENE 1.A ------------------------Search Tag: 085.1A Briefing **** SCENE 1.A Mei Ling CAST Mei Ling – Justine Ros Crl. Roy Campbell – Joe Hackett SCRIPT > Colonel is on the phone in an office as Mei Ling enters and stands for attention. Roy Campbell Miss Mei Ling? Mei Ling Colonel? Roy Campbell What can I do for you Mei Ling. Mei Ling Statues report on the terrorist incident earlier last night. Roy Campbell Carry on. Mei Ling As you are well aware of, LaurenHill Academy High school in Montreal, Canada was taken over by terrorists last night at around 10:30. Terrorists of gangster style raided the high school while some night courses where being taken place, rendering a hostage situation. All the areas of the school are poorly secured and watched. The operation is run by some unknown force. FOX-HOUND member Chamber Lynx was near the building when the terrorists cars drove up to the school and entered. Chamber Lynx is a tactical espionage expert and has been with FOX-HOUND for a few years. He has accomplished several VR Missions and is ranked Hound. Lynx entered the building with the guide of Phoenix Familiar, one of the famous programmers of the VR Missions Program. They lost communication about and hour and a half ago. No news or updates to the hostage situation has arrived since now. However, we've just been informed that FOX-HOUND elite member and Chamber Lynx's partner Shadow Hawk is the closest agent we got to the high school. We want to send Shadow Hawk into the high school to investigate. Colonel. you've heard of him haven't you. You know of the things the boy has accomplished in such a short time. Shadow has years of field experience and is an expert in hand to hand combat. With your permission, we will send in another FOX-HOUND member to save the hostages, defeat the terrorists and save Chamber Lynx with the guide of myself and perhaps yourself. Roy Campbell Permission granted. However I can't go. Send it Phoenix Familiar in my place. Mei Ling You can't Colonel? Will I be doing it alone then? Roy Campbell No Miss Mei Ling. You and I have more larger things to tackle. Mei Ling Oh-we do? Roy Campbell Go get the chopper and the men ready, were going to Alaska to meet an old friend. Mei Ling Alaska-! ...Solid Snake?! One of them did a better job then all the other actors did however. Joe did an amazing job, I wish he were in all of my films that I never made. *sigh* Justine was a problem, her voice was to low. So we went into editing and decided to voice over her all together. (by Stephanie Sacco) The results were not convincing. In this scene, the first shot used the most film in the whole project. Justine couldn't memorized any of her lines and I even got John to work some que-card action. The results were not pretty. Shadow are you there? Shadow Hawk *fuzz* Phoenix Familiar Shadow. You are using a PTT codec communication system. It runs with the nanomachiens that were installed into your body. The nanomachiens read your brain waves and compose them into understandable radio waves. That fly into the air and are picked up by someone else's codec. Simply concentrate on speaking to me with your mind and the nanomachiens will do the rest... Shadow Hawk *fuzz*flickers*flash*clear* Are you there, can you hear me? Phoenix Familiar Yes, you are coming in loud and clear. Shadow Hawk Affirmative. This is intermediate FOX-HOUND member, Shadow Hawk. I am reporting from the A-13 rendezvous point. You helped in the technology with the VR simulated training missions? Phoenix Familiar Yes, I an the famous Red-Phoenix. I purposely dyed the system obscure colors to leave my mark in the system. Shadow Hawk Hmm...where is the Colonel? Phoenix Familiar He has businesses with the legendary Solid Snake. Shadow Hawk Solid Snake?! Phoenix Familiar This is classified information Shadow, I said to much already, just continue your mission Shadow Hawk Yeah...well about my mission, my partner is not at his rendezvous point. Phoenix Familiar Shadow do you see the building in front of you? Shadow Hawk What? The high school? >shadow take out his inferred goggles Phoenix Familiar Yes late last night that building was taken over by terrorists. Something like a hostage situation, the boys in FOX-HOUND are taking care of there purpose there now. Chamber Lynx entered the building with our orders to save hostages that have been working there. I was leading him through the situation but then we lost communication about an two hours ago. Shadow Hawk What happen? Phoenix Familiar I don't know, but your current mission will be forced to be put on hold. Your new mission is to infiltrate the terrorist claimed high school, LaurenHill, and save the hostages. >Back to CODEC Shadow Hawk What about Chambered Lynx? So we got two cameras, Johns and Robs and pointed it at Ethan and me. We both read into the printed out script while sitting there in front of a black board. If you look closely into my glasses you can see the paper and at one point you hear and see the paper move out of the way into another paper. The information here was researched. We just did not know how codec conversations worked. Is it a small mike that he speaks into, or is there a screen, what? What I decided is that there are four push buttons implanted in the temple. Two to change frequency, one to turn it off or on and one to call. The image is produced in the callers subconscious and appears only to the callers line of sight. I guess the codec uses the callers nano-machiencs to scan the outline of the callers face and sends it to the caller on the other side of the codec and vice versa with the other caller. Thus making them hear and see each other by simply using their brainwaves. He turns to walk a way and stops. He sees a trail of blood on the ground. Shadow Hawk Is that my blood...no it couldn’t be... > Shadow follows the trail into the palest then into the weight room. As he walks in Lynx shots at him and Shadow dodges and points his gun at Lynx Shadow Hawk Lynx? Camber Lynx Ah God sorry Shadow, I always had a trigger finger... Shadow Hawk Yeah and you always left a bloody mess. Camber Lynx Shut up- urrghh Shadow Hawk Oh, you’ve been shot! Camber Lynx No shit - urghh Shadow Hawk Here... take this ration... Camber Lynx Ahh...I don’t want that garbage... Shadow Hawk Take it. Camber Lynx *chew *sigh* Shadow Hawk Now tell me how you got shot. Camber Lynx God Shadow…you don’t know what you got yourself into…this situation is much more complicated then it seems…I was at the rendezvous point when I got called into the high school. I left the window open for when you arrived at the rendezvous point as well. Everything was going smoothly, the guards weren’t organized and all seemed like gangsters. But then I ran into a scientist. A woman. She looked like someone that shouldn’t be there. It was so awkward, she seemed to be working against the terrorists.... Her name was Bianca Silverchair. We began talking about the terrorists and there goal but an alarm went off so I got out of there as fast as I can. Phoenix directed me into the gym. But when I got there I saw something that I would have never expected to see in this place.…and that’s when I got shot. Shadow Hawk Wait, what did you see? Camber Lynx A machine that can fire nuclear missiles from anywhere to anywhere on the planet. A global killer, ...Metal Gear Shadow Hawk Metal Gear?! What's that doing in an high school?! Camber Lynx It's not exactly in this school Shadow. There is a complex underneath the school. It's accessed by the gym. I was going to enter alone but I got shot when I saw Metal Gear being held in the Gym. Shadow Hawk Well what about Dominos and Aspen? Camber Lynx Dominos Black Fox and Aspen Fox. Both part of a organization called The Black Solitaires, Shadow Hawk A solitaire is the name given to a group of foxes. Camber Lynx Precisely...They used Bianca and her group of scientists to build and operate Metal Gear. The Black Solitaires funded the project and got pieces of Metal Gear from the black market. The code name given to the machine is ARMS, because all it's force is mainly located on the right and left arms of the machine. Bianca had no idea what where the intentions of her fonder. But they attacked the moment the project was finished and had no time to do anything about it. Shadow Hawk But I saw them interrogate Bianca for the codes earlier. What are the codes? Camber Lynx ARMS can only be accessed by a password that only Bianca knows. The Black Solitaires sent in Dominos and his men to convince Bianca into giving up the codes. Bianca knows if they get there hands on Metal Gear, there is no hope for human kind. So she is guarding them with her life, she has to, for all of us. Shadow Hawk So you had until Bianca gave up the codes to destroy the Black Solitaires and Metal Gear? Camber Lynx Basically, but then I got shot, after I spoke to Aspen. Shadow Hawk The girl? Camber Lynx The Solitaires are much more dangerous then you expect Shadow. -- wait! What was that? Shadow Hawk What. Gavin nor Ethan memorized their lines. I tried to get Angie to make some que-cards but it turns out their memorization wasn't really the problem. Those guys can't keep a straight face around each other. Ever six seconds they would break out laughing. It drove me insane. I ended up telling them to just improve random lines and they'd have to voice over the rest. I ended up filming late to get footage for him to voice over to. The ration was widely discussed everywhere. Should it be in? Should it not be in? I, for one, always wanted the ration including the noise inside the movie. The movie must resemble the game at all views. Point. Gavin however, thought it was funny cause he was taking nothing out and putting nothing into his mouth and then hearing a power up sound. It was silly. -E.S **** SCENE 4.A ------------------------Search Tag: 085.4A Ninja Melee **** SCENE 4.A Ninja melee CAST Shadow Hawk – Ethan Tracy Ninja – Derek Roy SCRIPT > Shadow stands over Chamber Lynx as someone appears and disappears in the room Shadow Hawk Dominos?! Dark Ninja Not likely Shadow. Shadow Hawk Who are you? Dark Ninja I am neither friend nor enemy. > Ninja kicks Shadow out of the weight room into the palest Shadow Hawk Tell me who are you? Dark Ninja hmm…forget calling me anything, there is no need to introduce myself to the dead. > Ninja draws his sword Dark Ninja Your getting to close to something you can’t handle Shadow. But you are all ready in to deep for me to get FOX-HOUNDs nose out of this project…so if you want an explanation to what I am doing here…well your just going to have to defeat me > Ninja slashes at Shadow and Shadow ducks the shot. Shadow Hawk I am getting really tired of this… Dark Ninja Yes, battle…Bring me death, FOX-HOUND! > Shadow gets in a fighting stance as he attacks Ninja. The Ninja slaps away his fists with his sword twice then punches Shadow in the chest. Shadow stagers up and raises his fists in a fighting stance. Dark Ninja Hmm yes… lets forget these modern weapons. Fight like worriers we shall! > Ninja kicks Shadow twice and Shadow blocks both shots. > Ninja swings a left punch, blocked > Ninja swings his body around and launches a right punch. Shadow gets nailed across the face. > After throwing his right punch he puts both hands together and lunges them both into Shadows face. Shadow spins 180 from the impact > Ninja grabs his right arm and puts it into a chicken wing > Ninja kicks Shadows right arm and Shadow falls to the floor > Shadow spits out blood and grows angry. He gets up and into a fighting stance and Ninja follows > Shadow throws a left and gets it rejected > He jabs a right and Ninjas head just misses it > Ninja smacks away his fists and jabs a left then right at Shadows chest > He lunges in with a wide left. Shadow dodges then grabs his left arm and twists it > He kicks Ninja in the stomach and Ninja bends over. Shadow gets down on one knee and punches Ninjas elbow with all his might and breaks Ninjas arm > Ninja stagers back and Shadow lunges at him but Ninja disappears. > Shadow spins around looking for Ninja. Ninja ignites a flash bomb and Shadow stagers backs into Ninjas arms > Shadow is put into a choke hold and Ninja applies pressure > Shadow gets his leg behind Ninja and curls his back and tosses Ninja to the ground > Shadow attacks Ninja! Right kick, block. Left kick, block. Right Right Left Right punches by Shadow all blocked by Ninja > Uppercut nailed by Shadow and Ninja staggers back > but Shadow stops him from moving by grabbing his shoulder and punching his several times in the stomach then a punch to the face NAILED! > He tries again but Ninja dodges and jabs 2 right punches in Shadows face while holding Shadow right arm with his left arm > Then a blow to the chest with is right elbow Shadow fly's back and falls down > Ninja spreads his legs open and charges his chi. Shadow stagers up and holds chest > Ninja flies into Shadow with a raging elbow attack. Shadow flies back against the wall > Ninja picks up his leg high and nails an axe kick on Shadows shoulder > Ninja then steps on Shadows face and applies pressure. Shadow Hawk ..he...must...be...human... > Shadow lifts up his leg and curls it so his knee presses against his chest and his foot is below Ninjas crotch. He kicks up and Ninja has no reaction > He kicks fully and pushes Ninja off and get on his feet > Ninja gets in fighting stance and then begins to charge his chi again. Shadow looks at Ninja deeply > Ninja disappears and then re appears in front of Shadow with a lunging palm attack > Shadow doges to the right and punches Ninja in the face with a right. Then with a left. Then a right, left, right, left > Shadow bombards Ninja with punches and tops it off with an major uppercut. > Ninja falls down and then gets up and disappears. Shadow whips off blood from face and gets into fighting stance and waits for Ninja to appear > Ninja appears in front of him running with a dagger. Ninja pushes Shadow against a wall and lunges to stab the dagger into Shadows face > Shadow stops it just in time before impact. The blade is centimeters away from his eye ball > Ninja gets pushed back and calls for his sword. Shadow begins to take out his gun and walk around into and open area quickly He has only seconds. > Ninja gets his sword and swings up to down three times at Shadow. Shadow blocks all three shots with his gun! > On the fourth he swings left to right and smacks his gun away > Shadow has no means of defense and is against a wall with a blade to his neck. > Ninja winds up to attack and then gets shot by Chamber Lynx before executing the attack > Ninja stops and looks at Lynx then at Shadow. He has no reaction to the wound. He looks at his sword and then puts it away. Dark Ninja Good job FOX-HOUND. Teamwork is always important in battle. I challenged FOX-HOUND, not just you. I accept defeat, you win Shadow Hawk. Shadow Hawk Who do you work for!? Dark Ninja I am part of another organization, one working against The Black Solitaire and that also wants Metal Gear under there command. However, we can't activate Metal Gear ARMS ourselves, we are forced to wait for the Black Solitaire to do it for us and you were getting in there way. I can't let you kill them before they do there job can I? Shadow Hawk Well now that your letting me go, there as good as dead. I wanted to get a guy called Choi to help me out with the cerography. But he never pulled through. So I ended up doing something really ghetto and just writing each action word for word, instead of story boarding it. When the day came to film, we had only 2 hrs to accomplish the lintier Ninja scene. So I had to cut some corners. The ninja was never suppose to be Justin. I first got the idea for a ninja when Nick Tinkler told me he owned a samurai blade. The though of actually having a ninja in the movie made my mouth water. I first wanted a boy name Gallien to be the ninja. But he had college and life to deal with. It was suppose to be him for a long time, but then Woolie eventually just said "Get another one." So we got Derek, a tall and built guy. He even had this cool tattoo on his back. He was awesome, but like most teenagers, he was unreliable. So on the day of filming his scene, he didn't show up. So we rapped up some black cloth around our camera-man, Justin Au-Yeung, and told him to swing a sword around and act cool. The guy blew our minds. He would summersault and have amazing handling on the blade, and with the cuts on his arms, he made Dark Ninja look dangerous. Another interesting thing that happened during filming was the craziness. At one point in the film, Ninja flips Shadow. If you watch it closely, it cuts from a front view 180 degrees back to an over head shot. During that first flip Ninja tossed Shadow right on the tri-pod and broke it! We didn't tell the owner tell the end of the day, but we filmed that scene with 2 1/2 tripod legs. Also on the 2nd shot of that flip. Look at Shadow, he really gets winded. Even his bandana comes off. But despite all the antics, we still pulled it off and made it my favorite scene in the movie. However Woolie complains that's it's sort of anti-climatic because its like fight fight- pause....-fight fight-pause.... etc. Well I say we had only a few hours to finish the scene. Shadow Hawk Thanks for the help back there Chamber Lynx What the hell was that thing? Shadow Hawk I have no idea. Someone working against The Black Solitaires I guess. Anyway it doesn't matter. Chamber Lynx How does it not matter. He said that Gear was activated? Shadow Hawk Because I'll stop them both. Chamber Lynx But the Black Solitaire is much more complicated that you think Shadow. Shadow Hawk Just another bunch of worthless terrorists. Chamber Lynx The Solitaire is much more then worthless terrorists. They all have a freakish and unique abilities. Every Fox of there group has some biological unexplainable power. There side show freaks, breaded by a test tube or something. Bianca told me all about them. They are a very low key organization and were just recently formed. There goal is world domination I guess but I am not sure. However with something like Metal Gear under your belt you can have anything accomplished. Shadow Hawk Well what about the two leaders? Chamber Lynx There not the heads of the group, they were just sent in for an errand. There suppose to activate Metal Gear and report back. The rest of the Solitaire is probably hidden under the school in the complex. Sending Dominos is more then enough to do the job however. Dominos Black has the freakish ability to be able to summon enormous surges of energy every time he gets mad. The madder he gets the more strange and stronger his powers becomes. I saw him set one of his gangster guards on fire with his bare hands in the parking lot of the school when I snuck in. Shadow Hawk What keeps the moral of the guards so high, with such evil authorities? Chamber Lynx Money I guess... Shadow Hawk What about Aspen? Chamber Lynx Aspen Fox is Dominos sister-in-law. That's all I know. Shadow Hawk How do you deactivate Metal Gear if they do accomplish to activate it. Chamber Lynx Bianca told me all about that one. You have to use this access key. Shadow Hawk How do I use it? (Lynx beings to struggle and move) Chamber Lynx Urgh...urgh...no... Shadow Hawk Lynx! What's wrong! So I experienced the same problems as before, they couldn't help laughing when they spoke to each other. So I made the conversation a lot shorter then the script. They improved a little, added in another ration themselves. I made Ethan walk around aimlessly cause I was going to add in a voice over of Gavin while he is walking around pretending to listen. If you look at Gavin's mouth when it's at a distance, you can see him moving his lips. He's really just saying "peaches and bananas." which would make Ethan laugh from time to time. By the last shot, the producer was standing behind me waiting to snag the camera. We ~just~ finished the ninja scene right on time. "Wait- I think they're here to help!" *laughs* yeah, if you look closely at that part you can see my eyes jump back and forth from the "guards" and the paper. *laughs* and when I take off my sunglasses, it was hard for Ethan and Sarah not to laugh. FOX-DIE is something still alien to me. Honestly, I still haven't figured out a way that Gavin could have gotten it. It can only be injected from the pentagon, and was basically made for Solid Snake because the president at the time was Snakes evil brother, Solidum Snake. But I can still obviously be wrong, also I can still obviously find a way to make it work. Do I hear sequel? Oh, and a another plot twist that is never answered. Who the hell shot me? I'm a bounty hunter that's really an archangel that lives in a different realm. He's a cameo from my comics, and he doesn't get hurt- hell he doesn't even bleed. The speak about Metal Gear and then fight. Shadow is in no mode for conversation but after realizing the power that Aspen holds, he is more then enough mode for a conversation. Aspen end up letting him go and then has a conversation with Dominos who enters. >Shadow walks down hall way and head for double doors. The doors are locked. Shadow turns and walks back towards the way he came. He stops short suddenly at the sound of foot steps, he turns around and head back to find some exit or hiding place. He can’t, he’s trapped! Shadow turns and faces his enemy, he raises his fists and tightens his body in a fighting stance. >Aspen enters slowly in front of him and draws a dagger. ASPEN FOX Chambered Lynx I presume. SHADOW HAWK Lynx is dead. ASPEN FOX Yes that’s right, the dead body in the gym. But you must be FOX-HOUND as well…Solid Snake. SHADOW HAWK I am not Solid Snake. Aspen then follows up with a thrust attack to Shadow witch Shadow barely dodges by ducking under her arm. Shadow grabs her arm and snatches the dagger out of her hands and swings back away from her. Aspen recovers in fighting stands and kicks, but Shadow walks into her kick and stabs her right shoulder. The melee is broken and Aspen stagers back. Dominos has the ability to make his gun absorbed souls and energy from his enemy which makes his gun, the two horses, and himself stronger after every shot. Shadow pushes her away and punches her face, knees her in the stomach and then puts her in a head lock and then cracks her neck. SHADOW HAWK Heal fast my ass. >Shadow turns around and swipes the card through the door and exits to the kitchen. There is a pause then Aspen gets up off the ground and moans. ASPEN FOX Son of a…I might heal real fast but it sure does fucking hurt. DOMINOS NIGHT FOX Aspen. ASPEN FOX Master Dominos? >Dominos enters with a guard beside him. DOMINOS NIGHT FOX Why were you late with your statues report. ASPEN FOX I am not one of your guards big brother. DOMINOS NIGHT FOX Well you are under my command as states The Black Solitaires. Now tell me why were you late with your statues report. ASPEN FOX I was having sex with the intruder. DOMINOS NIGHT FOX Have you seen the intruder Aspen ASPEN FOX No…no I haven’t. You know what Dominos, one day the world as you know it will collapse around you and even the Solitaires will leave you in the dark. A codec sequence and a live action sequence. Both worked beautifully. I must say, this was the smoothest scene of them all. The codec was shot in a class room 15 minutes before the bell rang to sound the end of class. So the whole class stood at the door way and weren't allowed to speak while we filmed. We set up both cameras real quick and made Ethan and Cynthia stand in front of the black board. I had to get down on my knee (with a bad leg at the time) and hold up their script for them. I was so surprised that they could manage to read the papers, because they were filled with notes and things I added in last minute. There is one mistake during the Codec that no one notices, that Aspen doesn't know who Shadow is at the start, but when she begins to sneak up behind him she says "I'm close to you Shadow, I can see you Shadow." If anyone asks, she just read Shadows name tag from afar and put two and two together. The live action part of the scene was much smoother than the codec. Ethan, Cynthia, Keith had to get in character during class time. So we all ran a risk of being suspended. : o ! Anyway, I got Jimmy D as a grip and went down stairs in this alien part of out school. I never knew we had a garage! It was perfect for the scene, except when the movie finally came out we ran into a little problem. The scene before, well it was never finished. So we never actually see Shadow leave from that place and enter the garage. Also about the scene, when you see Cynthia get up from the ground, you see a small pillow that we put there so her hair wont get dirty. lol. My only complain about this scene is Keith's voice. Keith's character looks so sinister the whole movie, and the moment he opens his mouth, all hell breaks lose. Have you seen the intruder, Keith? The guard scared stiff and fearing his life doesn't move. In the room the guard was guarding are the hostages and three guards. He sits there and watched the Head Guard try to negotiate some sort of access codes from one of the hostages. After a few tries, the obvious dominate boss figure enters the room. The boss speaks to the main hostage and speak to her about giving up these access codes. He kills the second hostage to try to convince her into giving up the access codes. That's when a woman dressed in all black enters and taunts the boss figure for his incompetence. As they fight, a guard enters and claims to have killed an intruder on the third floor. Obviously Chamber Lynx, Shadow decided to leave this hostage situation and try to save his partner before its to late. He tosses his lighter in to the group and KOs the guard he was hiding behind. The group scatters and the female taunts the boss figure again, angering him so much, he kills the guard who shot Chamber Lynx. Getting all the actors and crew together, getting the right spot, getting all the supplies. That- that was easy part. Convincing all the actors to stay that late and do it. That was the hard part. Everyone was so picky. So teenage. Such bad acting *gets angry* But I digress. There are a million things wrong with this scene and I was more stressed out at that point then any other point in production. Even when our movie crashed twice, days before release, I did not twitch. This scene however, made me cry blood. And the cruelest irony is, we never ended up including this scene. We just cut it up to fit Gavin's speech. It's funny when I think about it now, how much we stressed over it and how sinister we made the Black Solitaires look and we never used the scene. They must be important for the terrorist group to want them so bad. Your going to have to look into that after you save the hostages Shadow. Shadow Hawk And what about Dominos and that woman named Aspen. Phoenix Familiar I all ready sent some men to search all files for both code names. It will take some time however, because all we know about them is there first name and a some access codes. Shadow Hawk Hmm Phoenix Familiar How are you feeling Shadow? Shadow Hawk About the intruder? Phoenix Familiar He could be dead. Shadow Hawk They didn't find a body. I don't believe in anything until I see it. Phoenix Familiar Good thinking Shadow. Ok, your mission is to save the hostages before anything else. Sources tell me that they are being held on the bottom floor of the high school. Get there as soon as possible and save them before more die. Shadow Hawk It seems they only need Bianca...the rest could be dead anyway... Phoenix Familiar Keep your cool Shadow. There are innocent peoples lives at stake. One false moves, and you will be meeting one of your opponents iron fist. Shadow Hawk There not so heavily armed guards. More like cheap gangsters. Makes you wonder if they have any field experience. Phoenix Familiar Where looking into the one you held up Shadow. But gangsters or trained marines, you need to be ready. What are you armed with. In this conversation it's just basic character development. Shows how Shadow cares for Lynx and how square Phoenix can be. I believe that this character development was needed in the film. You don't ever quite get to know the characters. That's because of the true Metal Gear: Gaiden story, we only showed about 60% of it. There is a before and after that is never shown. I figure at least this codec can make it. But since we deleted Scene 0.2.A, this scene wouldn't make any sense at all. So the movie cut from scene 1 to scene 4. I also really like this codec because I make reference to Solid Snake. Which I really tried to get in the movie. Since this scene was deleted I ended up just relying on Scene 1:Briefing to help me out. Also if you download this and see closely. It looks like we are reading the subtitles on the bottom of the screen. -E.S
